Formula Student is an engineering competition where student from universities all over the world compete against each other using a racing car designed and built in-house. I was a member of the team at my university, Revolve NTNU, for three years. While I mainly had engineering roles while active in the team, I did grab some pictures at different competitions and test days. So it has mostly been after I graduated I started photographing the events properly.
FSG 2022
In 2022 I went to Formula Student Germany as a spectator, and managed to get some photos of the racing action. The access is always great for everyone at these competitions, and the cars look amazing! So here are some of my pictures from that event:
FSUK 2024
I was a volunteer for the official media operations team at the Formula Student UK event at Silverstone on 19th and 20th of July 2024. A really fun and interesting couple of days taught me a lot about motorsport photography and working under time constraints. It is always cool to watch the cars and all the effort that has gone into the project, together with the emotions of the highs and lows during the competition. In 2025 I was back at Formula Student UK as a media operations volunteer. This time the weather was slightly more mixed, which created some very cool photo opportunities!
